About Jane
I’m a writer based in York, in the north of England. My work covers a variety of genres, from science fiction, urban fantasy and horror to explorations of families and how to survive them. Humour, often with a touch of acidity, is usually a feature. My short stories have appeared in the anthologies Cold Iron – Ghost Stories from the 21 st Century (Iron Press) and Science Fiction for Survival – An Archive for Mars (Valley Press), in the literary magazine Dreamcatcher; and in Writing magazine. I am a contributing editor at the international community writing website ABCTales.com, and a regular at Spoken Word events, both in person and on-line. In addition I write a monthly blog covering everything from the state of the world to the
state of my fridge.
I am also an experienced beta reader and reviewer for other authors. I firmly believes that while writing may be a solitary profession, it need not be a lonely one. Constructive feedback from other writers benefits both the soul and the writing.
